Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Joshua said he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" his opponent as the combatants met personally to promote the upcoming boxing match.
Ex two time unified heavyweight champion Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I plan to break his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically recognized for his showmanship - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead criticized ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Fighter
Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
However, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning substantial earnings.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in round four or five and stated he would prevent the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul participated in the customary confrontation, with their physical disparity on show, it drove home just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the fight is really happening.
